HSBC has launched a one-stop solution called Omni Collect in India, news reports said. It is reported that the solution will pave the way for ecommerce sites and physical sites in nine markets across Asia Pacific to provide different payment options to their customers.
The solution is also available for customers across Southeast Asia including China and Australia with each market offering different types of capabilities.
Kee Joo Wong, Regional Head of Global Liquidity and Cash Management, Asia Pacific, HSBC, told the media, “HSBC is the first international bank to offer this collections solution across Asia. We continue to invest in digitising and simplifying our processes, enabling us to revolutionise payments and make banking simpler and better for customers, especially during these challenging times when technology and digitisation is more important than ever.”
Omni Collect is exclusively for businesses. It helps to simplify and streamline the process involved in collecting digital payments for goods and services for businesses in accordance with consumer spending.
The new solution will help companies to analyze their payment collections across different channels such as bank transfers, credit card payments and wallet transactions. Furthermore, the process ramp up the working capital for clients and reduces the burden of paperwork.
It is reported that in India, the solution is launched by Advanced Travel Partners International (ATPI). It has started to receive online payments through an online gateway.
In Singapore, HSBC has extended Omi Collect for companies and merchants to carryout online payments.
