The new system will work on parameters such as flight details, vehicle types, shipment characteristics and few other factors

The Emirate Group’s dnata has rolled out a cloud-based platform across its Dubai operations. The just-in-time freight handling platform which is equipped with appointment and dock management will ensure a seamless cargo journey from planning, processing and transparency.

The solution for the new platform is delivered by Siemens Logistics and Siemens Digital Logistics. The appointment and dock management paves the path for freight forwarders to book an appointment with cargo terminal to deliver and pick up consignments.

The new system will work on parameters such as flight details, vehicle types, shipment characteristics and few other factors in order to provide the best delivery slot. Bernd Struck, Senior Vice President, UAE Cargo and DWC Airline Services, dnata, told the media, “We are delighted to offer our partners more value by implementing another innovative solution across our Dubai operations.
