Emirates airline expects up to 30,000 US visitors every month after Dubai Expo 2020

According to official reports, Emirates airlines has already recovered 50% of the tourism witnessed pre-pandmeic

Dubai’s primary airline carrier, Emirates airline has announced that they have already recovered 50 percent of its tourist market like it was pre-pandemic and starting next month, they are expecting as many as 30,000 visitors from the state after the Dubai Expo 2020, according to media reports.

Emirates Airlines chief commercial officer Adnan Kazim told the media, “Emirates has already recovered 50 per cent of the pre-pandemic tourism numbers from the United States and has welcomed bookings from 14,000 tourists in the last two months. The US is expected to play a key role during the Expo Dubai, and based on the trends we are seeing today, we expect 20,000 to 30,000 tourists from the United States each month during the Expo. We are looking at building our capacity from the US and our objective is to make that happen as quickly as possible.”

He told the media ahead of Emirates launching its first-ever passenger service to Florida, Miami that before the Covid-19 pandemic struck, Dubai’s flagship carrier flew around 55,000 tourists from the United States into the UAE every month.

He also mentioned that the new service in Miami will provide an additional access point to and from Florida and they will also help expand their US to 12 destinations on over 70 weekly flights. They are also operating out of two airports in Florida and also aiming for visitors to fly to and from the Caribbean and Latin America.
