Abu Dhabi Ports, AMLS to launch international maritime logistic services

The joint venture will be headquartered in Abu Dhabi and will operate under OFCO – Offshore International

Abu Dhabi Ports and Allianz Marine and Logistics Services (AMLS) have created a joint venture where Abu Dhabi Ports’ maritime unit SAFEEN will roll out international maritime logistic services through it.

The joint venture will be headquartered in Abu Dhabi and will operate under OFCO – Offshore International. Furthermore, the joint venture will deliver onshore and offshore integrated logistics solutions and subsea services in the gulf and the rest of the world.

The services provided by OFCO will be dedicated towards large offshore infrastructure projects related to oil and gas including the ongoing operations. The customers of OFCO will be able to utilise Abu Dhabi Ports’ trade logistics and services as part of the broader value offering.

Captain Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi, Group CEO of Abu Dhabi Ports, told the media, “The launch of OFCO represents a significant leap forward for SAFEEN, which is one of the main pillars of our maritime business. By adding OFCO to our extensive portfolio of trade, logistics, and port services, we are in a position to offer our regional and global customers a very comprehensive and compelling end-to-end value offer, in one place and at the same time. Working closely with trusted partners, we are responding to market needs and expanding Abu Dhabi’s role as the regional and global hub for offshore services.”

OFCO is a port marine operator which delivers a broad range of service solutions, including integrated logistics for O&G and EPC companies. The global pandemic has hampered the logistics industry like any other sector.
