Abu Dhabi Ports recently announced to the media that Offshore Support and Logistics Services Company (Ofco – Offshore International) has signed a deal with Mammoet UAE.
The offshore logistics service provider signed this strategic agreement with the global engineered heavy lifting and transport services company in order to work closely to create a unique integrated package of on and offshore turnkey. As per the agreement, it also deals with installation solutions for several projects in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
Ofco was launched earlier in 2020 and it operated under Safeen Group, Abu Dhabi Ports’ marine services arm, and is also one of the largest cost-efficient providers of onshore and offshore integrated logistics services and subsea services in the GCC.
The firm is said to hold extensive experience in marine service solutions and also hold a diversified fleet with experience in offshore logistics and supply chain management. Its one-stop-shop offer is ideal to meet the complex logistics needs of the customers within the markets of oil and gas, energy and offshore.
In the initial stages of the partnership, the firms are targeting UAE-based projects with future ambitions to venture into the GCC, Ofco and Mammoet. That will eventually leverage their maritime, engineering and logistical expertise along with strategic positioning, infrastructure and in-house assets that could create a joint value proposition that is flexible and competitive.
Apart from providing customers with a streamlined, flexible and cost-effective solution, it will enable them to partner up with a single service provider instead of relying on various subcontractors to meet their supply chain requirements.
