Amundi appoints new CEO; brings changes to management board

Mr Christian Pellis has been serving as the head of third-party distribution at the company over the last seven years

Amundi, a Paris-based asset management company has appointed a new CEO for the UK, media reports said. It is reported that Philippe d’Orgeval will serve as the company’s new CEO. Furthermore, the company has also made few other changes in its management board.

Philippe d’Orgeval was the former head of AXA Investment Managers in the UK. Amundi’s previous CEO Laurent Guillet is expected to serve as the head of solutions and service department. The company has also assigned Christian Pellis to serve as the Germany CEO.   

Furthermore, Mr Christian Pellis has been serving as the head of third-party distribution at the company from the past seven years. Christian Pellis was serving as the head of distribution in 2010 at LGT Capital and was a board member prior to kick starting his journey at Amundi. 

Amundi has appointed Xiaofeng Zhong as the company’s chairman in China. Xiaofeng Zhong has previously served as the company’s CEO for the North Asia region. He has worked with Groupe Credit Agricole prior to joining Amundi. 

A spokesperson for AXA Investment Managers, told the media, “John Stainsby, head of core client group UK, will replace Philippe on an interim basis until a permanent successor is recruited and approved by the (Financial Conduct Authority). The recruitment process is ongoing, and we will communicate as soon as this is completed.”

Amundi has rolled out an ETF on Xetra offering investors access to the 50 largest companies in Germany.
