As a bid to solve the labour shortage problem in Brazil, Chinese multinational company Huawei has partnered with Brazilian National Service for Industrial Training (Senai) to open a professional lab, according to media reports. The lab will also provide certification for the ICT and telecom sectors in Cachoeiro de Itapemirim (Espirito Santo).
The skills lab project is a part of a national partnership between the two companies to solve the labor crisis and it will provide courses on the installation and maintenance of Home or fiber optic (FTTH) technology. Other media reports also mentioned that the labs will use the FTTH technology installation and maintenance courses aimed to cater to the NEM-NEM generation-young adults who are neither working or studying along with working professionals.
The labs will be present in places like Federal district, Bahia, and Tocantins, in partnership with Senai. All the courses will be held in the labs itself, organised along with Huawei and is located in the Senai unit in Cachoeiro de Itapemirim, which is part of the ICT Academy.
It has a skilled technical staff and upon completion of the certification course, students will be able to work on network and infrastructure projects.
Federal deputy Evair de Melo, who co-sponsored this partnership, told the media, “We will have hopeful young people, trained for the job market, who will contribute to the introduction of 5G. And, from there, everyone. we will benefit from this technology that will bring greater connectivity, communication, and improvement to all information systems ”.
