Dubai’s sustainable homes give visitors a personal carbon footprint at checkout

These homes allow visitors, residents and international tourists to experience sustainable living

Dubai’s sustainable city, which is the first of its kind city that is a fully operational sustainable community in the Middle East, has launched a collection of eco-friendly short-stay studio apartments located within the same region, according to media reports. These homes give visitors a personal carbon footprint at checkout and help the visitors and international tourists experience sustainable living.

These cutting-edge and environmentally conscious studio apartments were built keeping sustainability in mind. The complexes are built with highly insulating materials and are powered by renewable energy from rooftop solar panels. In order to avoid single-use plastic, the studio apartments are supplied with filtered drinking water, and to facilitate waste recycling, the apartments come with two bins, that are segregated with recyclable and other waste products.

Additionally, the homes also come fitted with low flow fixtures, as well as water and energy-efficient washing machines. The apartments also provide room cleaning services and only use environmentally-friendly cleaning products. To encourage sustainable living, guests have the option of monitoring their water and energy consumption during their stay with an energy metering system, along with receiving a personal carbon footprint statement at the time of checkout.

The guests staying at Dubai’s sustainable homes will also have access to the urban farm and animal sanctuary along the green spine inside. The space also comes with running and cycling tracks. Guests staying at the place also has access to the roof of the building which has been converted into a green relaxation area.
