Israeli shipping company ZIM partners with Alibaba to offer sea freight services

The partnership has boosted the visualization process of Alibaba’s logistics platform

ZIM, an Israel-based shipping company and Alibaba has entered into a strategic partnership, media reports said. The partnership will pave the way for the Israeli company to offer sea freight services on Alibaba’s online platform.

It is reported that the partnership expects to bolster logistics services for Alibaba sellers as ZIM’s extensive network of lines provides stable, high-efficiency and visible global logistics delivery services. Furthermore, ZIM will provide sea freight and services through Alibaba.com’s logistics platform as part of the deal.

The development of the partnership has been underway since earlier this year. The partnership has boosted the visualization process of Alibaba’s logistics platform and has benefited the stakeholders of Alibaba. Both the companies plan to expand the partnership through new developments.

Kuo Zhang, General Manager of Alibaba.com, told the, media, “The cooperation will provide more efficient and reliable supply chain solutions. As the world’s largest cross-border e-commerce B2B platform, Alibaba.com aims to build a global logistics network jointly with ZIM and other ecological partners and reshape global logistics industry standards. The strategic cooperation between ZIM and Alibaba.com will provide customers with stable, efficient and visible cross-border supply chain solutions, and provide strong support for the explosive growth of the global digital trade.”

According to ZIM, Alibaba is one of the top-notch ecommerce companies of the world. ZIM can contribute to the enhancement and efficiency of logistic services to Alibaba’s online platform customers because it is a customer-centric company equipped with advanced digital solutions.
